Midnight Flame Retreat

Devotional work today was different. While at festival I attended workshops, one of which was connecting to Nature. We were prompted to meditate with a tree to try to connect with the nature spirits. The energy was very interesting while surrounded by both people and the natural world. After this I watched the first two steps of Jan Avende’s IP completion, including her exit interview and a full COoR ritual done Hellenic style. The ritual was one of the most amazing I have ever witnessed. It was inspirational and moving. The evening ended with a Norse COoR ritual, which contained the ordination of the newest ADF Priest, Matthew Rutledge. I had never witnessed the rite before so it spurred me to complete the program for sure.
